Awarding Banquet

Awarding Banquet will be arranged at YUUSHIEN Garden in Daikonshima. From the conference venue Kunibiki Messe (Shimane Prefectural Convention Center) in Matsue, it takes about 30 minutes by car to reach YUUSHIEN Garden. Detailed conference program will be released online about one month before the conference.

Sitting on the sparsely populated Daikonshima Island in the middle of brackish Lake Nakaumi outside central Matsue is Yushien Garden (由志園, Yūshien, also commonly romanized as Yuushien), a large garden most celebrated for its peony flowers. Established as a private garden in 1975, the 40,000 square meter grounds feature several traditional landscape garden elements, including a central pond, waterfalls, streams, stone lanterns, a rock garden and a variety of seasonal flowers.

After your stroll, stop by one of the restaurants for a bite. There you'll be able to look out over the garden as well as sample various local cuisines. To make your trip extra special, consider indulging in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

While enjoy the banquet, you could also watch local Japanese traditional performances.
