Biography: Prof. Hongying Zhang is a PhD supervisor at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, deep soft computing, epistemic uncertainty in big data analysis, statistical machine learning, and trustworthy AI. Prof. Zhang has published more than 50 academic papers in renowned international and domestic journals and conferences, including over 30 SCI-indexed papers and 3 ESI highly cited papers. She currently serves as a standing committee member for leading academic organizations: Professional Committee of Non-Classical Logic and Computing, Chinese Logic Society; Technical Committee on Granular Computing and Knowledge Discovery, Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence; Technical Committee on Fuzzy Mathematics and Fuzzy Systems, Systems Engineering Society of China.
She has conducted extensive academic collaborations and exchanges with prominent universities worldwide, including the University of Texas at Austin, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Regina (Canada). She has presided over multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and participated as a key researcher in the National Science and Technology Innovation 2030 “Next Generation of Artificial Intelligence” Major Project. Additionally, she serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals, including Mathematics (Q1), Fuzzy Systems and Mathematics, and Fuzzy Information and Engineering.
